Cool restaurants in Miami Beach

Let’s get right to the heart of the matter with the restaurants. To have a good stay it is essential to know where to eat (very) well, so here are some nice restaurants in Miami Beach.

27 restaurant & bar

For our first restaurant I would like to introduce you to one that is particularly close to my heart. Hidden in the Freehand Hostel (hotel), this little restaurant doesn’t look like much but it is a raw gem, this is 27 Restaurant & Bar.

Clientele: frequented by hipsters and artists from all over the world, 27 Restaurant & Bar doesn’t close the door to anyone and you can get there without getting dressed up (your 27 will do).
Cuisine: you will discover a melting pot of flavours. From Asian to South American cuisine, including American comfort food, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. After dinner head next door to the Broken Shaker to enjoy delicious craft cocktails and take in plenty for the eyes and taste buds… but be careful not to overdo it ?
Atmosphere: the atmosphere is relaxed, simple and inviting, as if you were eating at someone’s home. The service is efficient and warm, on this side nothing to complain about! this and amazing cocktails.
Prices: The pluses are pretty affordable with appetizers at around $12-$16 and entrees that run around $19-$30. Keeping in mind that we are in Miami and moreover in South Beach, this is really reasonable.

Soul Tavern

This second restaurant is especially for vegan people. Indeed, this restaurant is entirely vegan but also offers options for those who are not.

Clientele: the restaurant is quite chic and has a good reputation but don’t expect to meet any celebrities or anything fancy . Just a normal clientele.
Cuisine: as mentioned earlier, this restaurant specializes in serving vegan dishes. That is, dishes made from plants. It sounds strange when you say it like that, but it’s just that no animal ingredients are used. The classics are thus revisited and we find for example a “Jucy Burger” based on mushroom and garbanzo to replace the meat or a “Guava Cheese Cake” made with coconut milk. If you prefer meat, no problem, the menu also includes non-vegetarian options.
Atmosphere: Soul Tavern offers a typical American restaurant setting, with a sober and uncluttered yet relatively modern decor. You have the possibility to eat outside in a nice little garden, on a coffee table like at home or simply on the terrace.
Prices: despite an innovative concept and an original menu, the prices do not take off compared to the previous restaurant. The most expensive dish is a burger (crispy eggplant and portobello mushroom) for $20. Count about $14 for a cocktail, normal price in Miami Beach.

Cecconi’s

Last restaurant of our test, fasten your belt we enter the high spheres of gastronomy in Miami, here is Cecconi’s, Italian restaurant of the hotel Soho Beach House.

Clientele: before talking about clientele, let’s specify the framework of the restaurant. Cecconi’s is located in the Soho Beach House, a prestigious hotel accessible only by membership. Cecconi’s is open to non-members but is still coveted by the Floridian elite, and is one of the most chic celebrity hangouts. Although the restaurant has a pretty strict policy on disclosing the names of the stars who eat there, if you decide to eat there, you might catch a glimpse of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez or even Ivanka Trump. So get your costume or your best dress ready and prepare to have your eyes and taste buds filled.
Cuisine: Cecconi’s is an upscale Italian restaurant offering modern yet authentic cuisine, handmade pasta, seafood and Italian dishes using the finest ingredients. The menu offers a choice of lobster spaghetti, beef carpaccio with Venetian sauce and truffle pizza, among others… and a list of 230 wines. Very famous for their desserts, I recommend you without hesitation an Italian classic: their tiramisu, which in my opinion is close to perfection!
Atmosphere: elegant people, neat and delicate decor, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and superb service. With Nile green striped tile floors, trees covered in twinkling lights and a retractable canopy that reveals a starry sky, you’ll feel like you’re in a secret Venetian garden.
Price: the setting is beautiful, the food is great and the price is correspondingly high. Count on a minimum of $22 for a pizza, $48 for the truffle pizza I had the chance to taste, a delight, $22 for pasta, and at least $27 for a main course. 60 for the veal Milanese. Not all wines are available by the glass, but expect to pay an average of about $20 per glass and about $80 for a bottle. The tiramisu is $10 (to be eaten without moderation this time).

2.

nightlife in miami beach ?

You now know where to eat, let me tell you about the crazy parties in Miami, places to go out at night in Miami Beach.

Rockwell

The Rockwell is the place to be for Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B lovers. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., this club describes itself as the perfect mix of L.A. atmosphere, New York music and Miami energy.

I had the opportunity to test this club and other Hip-Hop nightclubs in Miami and I must admit that the Rockwell remains my favorite club for this kind of music. The Rockwell is a total American show in a nightclub. Like in the movies, there are “bottle girls”, birthdays celebrated in the greatest excess and parties with the biggest names of the urban scene, Dj Khaled, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz or Desiigner. Opened in late 2015 by 3 partners, the Rockwell’s ambition was to revamp the nightlife scene on Washington Avenue. It has since become one of the most popular clubs for celebrities in Miami. I had the opportunity to see Kyrie Irving, Ronaldinho or Tori Lanez. However, there is little chance that the bouncer will refuse you entry even for a group of boys, as long as you are well dressed and not wearing sneakers (or ballerinas for girls). In general you will have to pay the entrance fee, around $20 unless you are on a promoter’s list. They canvass on the beach or on Facebook.

Treehouse

You’re not too much into hip-hop and prefer house/techno? Don’t panic, in Miami there is something for everyone, I present you Treehouse, techno/house club.

As I said above, I’m more of an urban music fan but from time to time I like to spend the evening in a techno or house club to have a little variety. For parties like this in South Beach, there’s no better place than Treehouse. Located a little north of Miami Beach, this club is really worth a visit. Open 3 nights a week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, it welcomes a ton of guests from around the world. The entrance is once again paying about twenty dollars. The space is divided into two separate rooms often offering two slightly different styles of music and/or two different djs. One room is larger than the other and gives access to a very pleasant outdoor space, with a bar for refreshments between dances. You don’t have to go all out to get past the bouncer, a casual style does the trick. Treehouse is one of the only techno/house clubs on the beach but certainly one of the most interesting in all of Miami. Again, it’s located slightly north of South Beach so consider Uber for the ride home ?

Bodega

Perfect mix of genres, this exceptional place has more than one trick up its sleeve to conquer you: live music, Mexican tacos, handcrafted cocktails, atypical setting, calienteatmosphere…

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is the place to spend crazy evenings with friends without taking the head. You hesitate between several clubs? Can’t agree on the type of music or the theme of the evening? You don’t want to pay the entrance fee and avoid waiting 3 hours in line? Or did your suitcase get lost at the airport and you don’t have anything to wear? Bodega saves your evening and promises you a memorable night. As its name suggests, this establishment is of Mexican influence. The strong point of Bodega is its superb setting but also the possibilities offered. Whether it’s for live music, a hip-hop or Latino night, authentic tacos or craft cocktails, there’s always a good reason to go to Bodega. I have rarely enjoyed a club(/restaurant/cocktail bar/everything…) as much as Bodega. Open every night, 7/7 from noon to 4am, this place offers a unique and relaxed yet chic atmosphere, a varied and not too commercial music, in short it’s the perfect mix for any kind of party. The only negative point is that the room is not very big and fills up very quickly, so you have to be ready to dance tightly on busy nights.

3.

places to relax in miami beach ?

Now that we’ve seen where to eat and where to go out, I’m going to introduce you to some places to relax, we are on holiday after all.

The mondrian pool

After a delicious meal in the restaurant and a wild night out in one of the clubs mentioned, there is nothing better than a day by the pool. And not just any pool, as it is the top 3 most beautiful pools in Miami Beach, also known for its epic pool parties, welcome to the Mondrian.

The Mondrian is a luxury hotel located on the west side of Miami Beach and offers an exceptional view of Miami and Biscayne Bay, day and night. Sometimes reserved for hotel guests, the pool is often open to all. A pool party is organized every Sunday, the music starts at 1pm and it is better to have a reservation for a bed or a hut to ensure a place around the pool, victim of its reputation. It is possible to enjoy the view and the atmosphere until 8pm and especially to be in the front row for a sumptuous sunset. Regarding the service you can order food and drinksThere are also a few ping pong tables, hammocks, a sandy floor and heated water. It is for me one of the most beautiful pools in Miami Beach as much for the view as for the pool itself. I highly recommend it during the week to avoid the crowds of the weekend and to enjoy the peace and quiet.

21st street beach

The perfect semi-private beach located in the middle of South Beach’s most luxurious hotels, 21st Street Beach is ideal for families, groups of friends or couples looking for affordable amenities.

The beach of Miami Beach is very large but some of the most beautiful portions are privatized by the hotels and if you are not from the hotel the price for a deckchair can easily climb up to 100$ (per deckchair yes yes). It is possible to go near the southern tip and lay down a towel but if you are looking for cheap sunbeds and an umbrella then 21st street beach is your best bet. Just a stone’s throw from the most luxurious hotels, pedestrian streets and shops, there is a small Art Deco shack at the entrance to the page that sells snacks and several showers. If you have a car no problem, there is a large parking lot near the beach that costs only $1.5/hr. A bargain. If you’re looking for a place that’s easy to get to and doesn’t attract a lot of visitors, 21st Street Beach is definitely worth a visit. There is also a fantastic jogging track close to the beach in case you plan to go for a morning run. Speaking of which, it’s the perfect place to watch a sunrise. I really like this part of the beach because it is not very expensive. It allows you to enjoy facilities such as sunbeds and umbrellas but it is also located near jet ski rentals and other water attractions.

4.

culture and nature in miami beach ?

Soon the end of our test on the cool places in Miami Beach, but there is no way I won’t give my opinion on the cultural and natural spaces of the city. Here we go!

Bass museum of art

If you are rather
culture
If you like to wander around town and are looking for a museum on the beach, conveniently located and open on weekdays, then the Bass Museum of Art is for you. Presentations.

The Bass Museum of Art is a museum of contemporary art. It was founded in 1963 by John Bass and Johanna Redlich, two Jewish immigrants from Vienna, Austria. In 1963 the couple bequeathed a collection of more than 500 pieces (manuscripts, artefacts, paintings, clothes, sculptures…) to open the museum to the public. Located not far from Lincoln Road, one of the busiest pedestrian streets in Miami Beach, this small museum will keep you busy for an hour or two and you can buy drinks and food if you are feeling a bit peckish. The Bass Museum holds exhibitions throughout the year and is open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday. I love this museum because it is not very big and you can do the tour in less than 2 hours. So when I’m exhausted from my studies, I seek help with my homework at writemypapers.org/do-my-homework.html and come to this place to recharge and culturally unwind. It is ideal for an original outing during the week or even at the weekend. Miami isn’t all booze parties and sandy beaches after all ?

South pointe park

Known locally as South Pointe, the park offers a variety of amenities including restaurants, a children’s play area, a dog park, showers and water features, and free yoga sessions.

South Pointe Park is one of the many parks in Miami Beach. It gives direct access to the beach and is in fact much more than just a park. There is a jogging and cycling track along the sea and bay, benches for lounging, a children’s playground with water features, green areas, a fishing pier, a dog park, beach access and easy access to various restaurants. A real postcard setting, this park also offers a multitude of free outdoor activities. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm or 7pm depending on the time of year, a free yoga class is organised for example. All you need is your mat or towel and you’re off to practice yoga outside, which is a pretty cool experience, right? Personally, I loved it. In addition to the natural beauty of the park where I could stay for hours doing nothing, the free activities and the direct access to the beach and the South Pointe Pier make it for me THE place to be in South Beach. To be visited without any hesitation!

You knew I wasn’t going to stop there, here are 3 bonus places outside of Miami Beach

If you’re an NBA fan, or just enjoy American-style shows, check out a game of the local team, the Miami Heat, at the American Airlines Arena. Prices usually start at around $20-$30 per seat. Concerts are also organized there.

For nature lovers, I recommend the Fairchild Botanical Garden in Miami. About a 35 minute drive from South Beach, this park features beautiful flora and themed events such as the Night of Lights . So keep an eye out for events.

You are not satisfied with the nightclubs I mentioned above? Let me introduce you to the Club Space. 2 huge rooms, two atmospheres, crazy guests, day and night, one of my favorite clubs. Famous all over the world, this club is located in Downtown near another club, the E11even(Adult Only…).
