Test and review of the teeth whitening kit

WHAT IS TOOTH WHITENING?

This is a method of cosmetic dentistry aimed at lightening the colour of the enamel of one’s teeth by using hydrogen peroxide. Often practiced in dental offices by doctors, there are now several methods where you can easily bleach your teeth at home.

These new kits are becoming more and more popular, so we looked into the matter (with two friends) and tested 3 different brands.

The first kit is from the most famous brand (in my opinion): BBryance. This brand was created by two influencers which explains its omnipresence on social networks. The second kit we tested is from Cocolab. In the same style as BBryance, they use influencers and social networks to communicate. The third and final kit is from amazon and is not a known brand.

We will therefore test and judge these kits according to 3 criteria:

• Efficiency
• The impact on our teeth

Our opinion on the famous brand of influencers: BBRYANCE

Created by Shanna and Thibault, known thanks to the reality show, the brand has become known and has been promoted by many influencers: enough to gain notoriety.

BBryance offers a complete package of products to whiten and care for your teeth. The brand announces that it will be able to win several shades of white. But it depends on the nature of the teeth and the receptivity to the product. You can find charcoal powder, a whitening pen, a sonic vibration toothbrush and a whitening kit. It includes a tray to put on the teeth, a syringe of whitening gel with a capacity of 10 ml. It is good to note that BBryance has thought of offering 22 fragrances for this gel, to suit a maximum of people. A LED lamp allows to accelerate the whitening process by placing it on the mouthpiece during the whole application time. It is possible to see the evolution of the lightening of the teeth by following a shade guide and, of course, a manual to understand how the kit works.

I had read that BBryance products can irritate teeth and create bleeding gums, but after a month my teeth are a little whiter and I personally didn’t feel anything. But I don’t suffer from tooth sensitivity. It is a good idea to offer a variety of scents for the bleaching gel. The installation is simple and relatively fast. You just have to sit down in front of a TV show in the evening to not think about it. However, I would have thought, after dreaming about the promises of BBryance, that my teeth would have become whiter.

An alternative to Bbryance: COCOLAB, what is it worth?

According to the tests, the results are visible from the first application of the Coco Lab product. Although the preparation time is also the same as the use of the product, the results are satisfactory. After two weeks of regular use, the teeth will be a beautiful white colour with guaranteed oral health. Only one of the products offered by the site is enough to have good results. The effectiveness time is based solely on the condition of the teeth and the stains to be removed.

Are home kits safe?

From a health point of view, these kits are not without consequences. Indeed, the gel to be placed in the trays is largely composed of hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide), this component can be responsible for hypersensitivity, a deterioration of the enamel and in the long term a weakening of the teeth and their porosity.

Conclusion

In general, all these kits work well, however not up to our expectations. In addition, the damage that can be caused by excessive use prevents us from obtaining a better result.
Are they necessary in the face of medical dental bleaching, more natural bleaching (activated charcoal) and other less expensive methods.
